PRIVATE CCW CERTIFICATION

Florida CCW certification is an in-depth three-hour class. DTFT’s class stands apart from other CCW courses in the state by providing factual, real-world information needed to be a responsible and confident citizen while carrying a concealed weapon. Our private lessons offer a personalized and flexible training experience, ensuring you receive expert instruction tailored to your needs.

This course goes beyond the basics of firearm safety and shooting fundamentals. You’ll be given comprehensive training on the legal, ethical, and practical aspects of carrying a concealed weapon responsibly.

CCW FAQs

To qualify for a Florida Concealed Carry License, you must:
– Be at least 21 years old
– Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
– Have no felony convictions or domestic violence charges
– Meet state and federal firearm ownership requirements

No, we provide firearms and ammunition for the training. However, if you have your own, it’s recommended to use your own firearm. You may bring it unloaded and secured in a case.

This class provides the required training certificate, but you must apply for your CCW permit through the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (FDACS). The application includes:
– Submitting your certificate
– Completing a background check
– Paying the state application fee
